Rules of the game
The rules
The objective of the game is to gather as many pairs of cards as you can. You can pick the first player based on a coin toss, the youngest person, roll the dices... anything you like. It's essential to keep track of which cards are in which spots.
- Pick your first player using the technique of your choice. The game then proceeds in a clockwise way.
- Shuffle the cards and lay them out face down on the table in rows.
- There are 50 countries, which means there are 100 cards. Make sure you have adequate space (about 60x60cm) or reduce the number of pairs!
- The game begins with the first player turning over two cards (one at a time) and keeping the cards that match (for instance, two Luxembourg cards)
- They keep the cards if they correctly match a pair, and the player gets another turn until they fail.
- If the cards do not match, the players return them to the face-down position on the table, and the next person begins their turn.
- When all of the matches have been uncovered, the player with the most pairs wins.
